As we all know I’m always putting my twist on classics and this is no exception. Super super easy to make and absolutely to die for. also great way to start the day. Did you know another term for salmon bagel is ‘Lox’ where it has been derived from the word ‘Lax or laks means “salmon” in the Scandinavian language. Nowadays this is a very popular breakfast dish around the world but predominately an American Jewish cuisine these days.
Comprised of cream cheese, bagel, salmon and sauce Vierge . You have a masterpiece. A masterpiece can be tweaked, can’t it? Well for my version all elements will still be intact, but with just more oomph.
You’ll need
2, Bagels
100g, Garlic Soft Cheese
4 Tbsp, Sauce Vierge
Small Handful of Parsley
100g, Smoked Salmon
20g, Butter
Pepper
Salt
Method
- Preheat the grill to a medium temperature 150degress. Cut bagel in half and butter both slices and place in the grill till golden brown (or once the butter has melted and colour starts to form).
- Once done, spread the soft cheese on both slices, gently place the smoked salmon around the bagel. Gently spoon over the sauce Vierge and sprinkle over the parsley.
- Season with salt and pepper.
