You’ll need
1/2 cup, All-purpose Flour
1/4 cup, Cocoa Powder
1/4 cup, Granulated Sugar
1/4 tsp, Baking Powder
1/8 tsp, Baking soda
1/8 tsp, Salt
1 large egg
1/4 cup, Milk
2 tbsp, Vegetable Oil
1/4 tsp, Vanilla extract
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 6-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the (dry ingredients) flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk the (wet ingredients) egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake the cake (15-20 minutes) or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once done, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, you can serve the cake with your favorite frosting or topping. Enjoy!
